WEEK 1 – LET’S GO CAMPING
No better way to kick off the summer fun than a week of camping adventures. We will pitch tents, build campfires, and learn survival skills. We will use binoculars to observe birds and animals living in the forest. Songs and stories throughout the week will embrace the camping spirit.
WEEK 2 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA & CELEBRATION FUN
This week we will be all red, white and blue. We will learn about the traditions of July 4th fireworks, BBQ, parades, and more. We will imagine and create our own amusement park with a concession stand, rollercoaster, bouncy castle, and more…
WEEK 3 – EVERYTHING PETS
This week, the children will create a veterinary hospital, a grooming salon, and a pet shop. We will read stories that will include I Want A Dog (ALA Notable Book), Oh The Pets You Can Get, and more. The kids will make leashes, collars, and doggie dinners. We will have turtle races and make a life-size hamster run for crawling and climbing, and more.
SESSION 2 // July 19 – August 6
WEEK 1 – THE WORLD OF ROBOTS
This week we will experiment with gadgets and gizmos and all kinds of parts. What kind of robot can you create? What does a robot look like, and what can it do? We will play robot games, read robot books, and sing and dance like robots. Robot fun all week!
WEEK 2 – UNDER THE MAGICAL SEA
This week we will dive into the depths of the sea. Sea turtles, electric eels, and the wonders of a coral reef. We will also search for hidden treasures, and meet merpeople and other mythical sea creatures.
WEEK 3 – ALL SPORTS
Through games and activities, the kids will learn the excitement of competition, teamwork, drills, practice, and various techniques. Additionally, we will learn cheers to encourage each other, how effort pays off, and good sportsmanship. The kids will choose a country and make flags and jerseys. We will close the week by having exhibition games; each child will earn an award, and the camp will celebrate effort.
